Summary

Assist the Accounting Manager/Controller in managing and supervising (directly or indirectly) all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and payroll.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

  • Oversee and participate in month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards, and regulations.

  • Review and reconcile financial discrepancies; investigate and resolve any issues or irregularities.

  • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

  • Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in accounting or financial management roles.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Leadership and team management abilities.

  • Experience with financial reporting and preparing financial statements.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
