Job Title: General Manager
Department: Operations
Reports To: Regional Manager (and Interim GM until August '24)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Job Summary:
The General Manager will lead all aspects of the business at Tin Roof in New Orleans, LA, which features multiple levels of entertainment, each with their own stage, vibe, and music lineup. This position will oversee daily operations to ensure the location exceeds expectations in guest service, entertainment, and team member performance and development and to ensure the business is profitable. Based in New Orleans, LA and reporting to the Regional Manager, this position will build collaborative relationships with all leaders and crew members and cultivate a positive work environment. Applicants should have a passion for hospitality, live music, and enthusiasm to grow alongside Tin Roof.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership:
· Exemplify and model Tin Roof’s Mission, Vision, and Brand Promises
· Lead, motivate, and engage Managers and Crew Members through building collaborative relationships and fostering a positive workplace culture
· Lead recruiting and hiring efforts for all FOH & BOH Manager and Crew Member positions, maintaining a full, high-performing staff
· Act as the face of Tin Roof in the community, promoting the brand and building relationships with surrounding organizations, businesses, neighborhoods, etc.
2. Business & Financial Management:
· Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations and company policies regarding food safety, beverage service, health, labor, training, security personnel, etc.
· Collaborate with the Regional Manager and other members of HQ for business & financial planning, problem-solving, policy development, etc.
· Oversee all areas of daily operations alongside Managers and Crew Members, including bar & food service, kitchen management, daily entertainment, security, and special events & promotions
· Monitor costs, sales, and profitability and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize waste
· Partner with FOH & BOH Managers to oversee, manage, and support inventory
· Create Manager schedules and review Crew Member schedules for FOH and BOH
· Complete all opening, closing, & shift duties, and all other duties based on business needs
3. Communication:
· Lead and maintain communication with all Managers and Crew Members to provide updates on operational updates, events, promotions, etc.
· Coordinate weekly management meetings and monthly crew meetings
· Cultivate a positive work culture through engagement and retention, to include a focus on team-building activities and events
4. Training & Development:
· Oversee Manager and Crew Member onboarding, training, and development
· Conduct regular trainings for food and beverage suggesting selling, steps of service, etc.
· Manage and maintain 100% crew member completion of all required trainings for compliance, local/state regulations, industry certifications, etc.
