About the Team:
The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs team handles and oversees legal privacy and regulatory matters pertaining to TikTok's global operations. The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in the US and around the world to tackle some of the most complex, interesting, and cutting edge issues in privacy and security. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced, and bright legal professionals to join our exciting team.
Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor, brief, and advise on global privacy laws and new legislative and regulatory developments impacting Tiktok's global operations
• Draft, review, and update employee privacy policies and procedures in accordance with applicable global laws and regulations
• Analyze and lead privacy assessments related to projects impacting employee privacy
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders, including HR, to ensure the effective implementation of privacy policies across the organization
• Assist with internal audits and assessments to verify compliance with employee privacy policies
• Assist with and lead various aspects of Tiktok's ongoing privacy compliance efforts
• Advise on matters involving vendor due diligence and negotiation of privacy-related clauses in contracts and agreements

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of eDiscovery or litigation support experience.
• Strong knowledge of eDiscovery processes, methodologies, and tools; proficient in the use of eDiscovery software such as Relativity or Nuix Discover.
• Good understanding of electronic data preservation and collection processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with various teams.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a law firm or corporate environment.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $155000 - $195000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
