OUR OPPORTUNITY
Bakersfield, featuring authentic, Mexican street fare, tequila and whiskey, is looking for line cooks. Line cooks are responsible for the overall quality of menu items according to Thunderdome's standards and specs. We are looking for someone who is passionate and driven to grow alongside the growth of our restaurant group. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds. This position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Maintains a clean and efficient work station

Sets up and stocks all necessary items
Follows proper compliance of safety, sanitation and health standards

While Thunderdome Restaurant Group was officially founded in 2012, its roots go much deeper. Joe, John, and Alex, the... three founders, have spent their whole lives working within the restaurant business. In 2005, Joe and John set out to do something on their own after working for restaurant groups in Boston and Chicago. Currito was born out of this endeavor, and successfully grew to 12 locations by 2011. At that time, the brothers reconnected with Alex, who had previously worked with the Lannis 10 years prior. The idea of the three doing a restaurant together was planted, and after months of planning and scouting locations, they decided Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati had promise. From there, Bakersfield was opened, and with its success, a second location quickly followed. With numerous Currito locations, and the addition of the Bakersfield concept, Thunderdome Restaurant Group was born. Since then, SoHi Grilled Sandwiches, Krueger's Tavern, Maplewood Kitchen + Bar, and multiple locations of The Eagle and Bakersfield have rounded out the Thunderdome family, and more cities will be struck with Thunderdome's magic soon!
