We're looking for someone to join our team as an Ultrasound Technologist who: Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Produces images of internal body tissues in order to diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Supervises and mentor’s ultrasound personnel. Maintains equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Uses ultrasound equipment to direct high-frequency sound waves to a prescribed area of the patient's body and capture quality images that describe the composition, shape, and motion of tissues, organs, vessels, and pathology. Summarizes, documents, verifies, and presents images, findings, calculations, and measurements to physicians for diagnoses. Adheres to ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, precautions, and standards.
• Provides direct patient care, including assessing patient condition and ability to cooperate. Positions patients and equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and continually monitors and records vital signs. Observes for reactions and signs of impending complications and intervening as needed.
• Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Prepares rooms and patients for subsequent ultrasound procedures.
• Verifies the operational status of equipment prior to daily utilization.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

• Diploma/certificate from an Ultrasound college/school: Required

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Multiple areas: Preferred
• ARDMS: Required
• All sonographers must be eligible to be registered in at least two (2) of the following: ARDMS (OB), (AB), (RVT): Required

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $26.33 - $45.18 per hour
