As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll play a crucial role in managing financial transactions related to payables within our organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing Invoices and Payments:
• Acquiring and processing invoices from vendors and suppliers.
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconciliation and Record Keeping:
• Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to account for all bills and payments.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
• Maintaining accurate payment records.
• Credit Card & Expense Management:
• Understanding expense accounts and cost centers.
• Handling compliance issues related to accounts payable processes (such as W-9 forms and sales tax).
• Managing and maintaining the corporate credit card system.
• Taxes:
• Familiarity with property tax returns, sales and use tax returns, business license returns, and 1099 reporting.
• Supply Ordering (as needed)

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Sage Intact, NetSuite, or similarly sized ERP systems.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Ability to learn other accounting software as needed.

Education and Experience:

• 5 year of accounts payable experience
• Business or Accounting Associates degree (plus).
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification (plus)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
