In this position you will work onsite or remotely with colleagues across the business and across the world. You will be involved in a broad range of varied projects and will get great exposure and visibility within the company. Discover Impactful Work:
In this role, you will have a lead role in creating the next generation quantitative software solution for Thermo Fisher Scientific analytical instruments that are used across the globe in markets from pesticide analysis to biopharmaceutical development. This role is to develop and support easy-to-use software for quantitative LC-MS applications allowing users to acquire, process, and review results from our full portfolio of products.
What will you do?
Lead cross-functional product development teams in aspects associated with product definition and product development.
Customer activities, assess market trends and competition offerings to develop and implement proactive strategies to strengthen the product line’s business advantage and build product requirements.
Keep the software fresh and innovative as best serves usability
Maintain documentation per our new product development and introduction (NPDI) process, including product requirements, user stories for development, and intellectual property reviews.
Represent the product in presentations, publications, and customer labs worldwide.
Keys to Success:
Education:
Ph.D. in a relevant field (or equivalent), with 3-5 years of experience
MS degree in a relevant field (or equivalent), with 5-7 years of experience
BS degree in a relevant field (or equivalent), with 8-10 years of experience
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with LCMS hardware and accompanying quantitative software solutions is required.
Deep understanding of mass spectrometry techniques and their applications to both small and large molecule analysis, as well as other analytical techniques is desired.
Extensive hands-on experience using advanced mass spectrometry instruments like Triple Quadrupole, Q-TOF, Orbitrap, etc highly preferred.
Laboratory experience with GxP environment, documentation and regulatory compliance in the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
Deep understanding of analytical methods qualification/validation also a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights, draw conclusions/implications, and translate information into product requirements, portfolio strategies, and business recommendations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize results in a clear, concise and accurate manner
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in partnership with colleagues within and across organizations.
Initiative to drive fact-based decisions, projects and deliver results - demonstrate a 'can-do' demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $103,000.00–$154,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
