This position reports to attorneys of the Legal Department and is responsible for general corporate matters. The role requires the ability to prioritize competing priorities and projects as well as working well in a team environment. We are seeking a team member with extensive corporate experience, who can take initiatives and exercise appropriate judgment. Familiarity with investment management or other financial services preferred.
The work arrangement for this position is hybrid with the requirement of working onsite 4 days a week.
- Maintain the legal existence and good standing of multiple corporate entities and investment vehicles.
- Manage legal responses to audit requests; interface with auditors.
- Assist with all aspects of entity creation and maintenance, including updating the firm's legal entity database.
- Assist with general corporate matters, including reviewing and drafting board consents and reviewing confidentiality agreements.
- Assist with drafting and filing regulatory filings.
- Handle entity billing.
- Assist with Legal Department projects arising from time to time.
- Complete other projects and responsibilities as directed by the attorneys of the Legal Department.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- 5-10 years of relevant experience including experience working in corporate law firms or in-house legal departments maintaining corporate records
- Certified as Paralegal
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Highly organized with focused attention to detail
- Must work well in a team environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
- Previous investment management or other financial services experience
- Experience working with iManage
Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $100k to $130k. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
