The Tandym Group is Hiring an Employee Relations Specialist Near Brooklyn, NY

A healthcare network in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Employee Relations Specialist to their growing staff. In this role, the Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department with a primary emphasis on employee relations, leaves and accommodations.
Responsibilities:
The Employee Relations Specialist will:
  • Provide counseling and guide pending FMLA through necessary paperwork
  • Notify all designated personnel of pending separations
  • Facilitate employee feedback through surveys
  • Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement events
  • Act as a resource for employee questions and concerns
  • Keep informed on DOH policies, Federal, State, and City Laws
  • Participate with other HR staff in planning, developing, and implementing personnel policies, systems, workflows, and procedures
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of related experience with a High School Diploma / GED; or Associate’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, and/or a related discipline;
