Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Employee & Labor Relations Assistant.
In this role, the successful candidate, Employee & Labor Relations Assistant will be responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support including, answering calls made to the general phone line, providing HR services and solutions support with a focus on high quality customer support/counsel, coordinating and scheduling grievance hearings, creating and maintaining various reports and databases as well as other related administrative duties for the department. The individual will exercise independent judgment in addressing concerns and understand when to escalate issues and concerns to the appropriate party for resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in a related field.
Experience: Minimum of three years of related experience in an administrative support role or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills. Customer focused ability with an emphasis on the employee/customer experience. Adaptable to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment. Detail oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Data entry skills including excellent data quality, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail in work. Ability to work well in a team environment, seeking the ideas of others and valuing differing perspectives. Capability to solve issues in a timely matter and take initiative to make processes and programs better. Ability to handle multiple requests in a timely manner. General analytical and problem solving skills and knowing how to identify when issues need to be escalated. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and maintain objectivity.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 - $70,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
