Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent must complete the juris transfer process, transferring examination approvals and test results between the licensing database and the testing vendor’s online system. This includes extracting and mailing out failing results. The incumbent must also send out results for applicants who are not licensed, but need results sent to another state. This position must run the testing data clean-up reports and make the necessary changes in the database. The incumbent must manually submit approvals that did not transfer on the testing vendor’s website.

The incumbent must review and process the following request for clients 1701 and 1702: application withdrawal, volunteer school nurse waiver, volunteer healthcare exemption, volunteer retired and visa screens.

The incumbent must review and process requests for the reactivation of licenses that have been placed in Inactive or Retired statuses. This includes assuring the accuracy of information given in writing to licensees regarding amount of continuing education and fees required to reactivate. This position must ensure that the necessary transaction is accurately opened and worked in licensing database. This position must process these applications in compliance with processing standards.

The incumbent must review and process requests for refunds of application and license renewal fees. This position must complete the required electronic refund request form and provide it to the appropriate regulatory supervisor for the refund to be approved in the database. Once the supervisor has completed the process in the database and returned the form to this position, the incumbent must submit this form to the Finance and Accounting section for the refund check to be issued. The incumbent in this position must assist Finance and Accounting with any requests for additional information on refund requests submitted to their office.

The incumbent must change the status on transactions to Expired for nursing applications for LPN, RN, CNS and ARNP that were not deemed as completed within the one-year application period. This position must also change the overall application file status for all initial application files that are not deemed complete within the one-year application period.

The incumbent must communicate verbally and in writing with applicants and licensees regarding relevant processing procedures, statutes, and rules.

The incumbent must perform other duties as assigned by managerial staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to compile, organize and analyze complex data.
Ability to investigate, analyze and resolve complex complaints.
Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals.
Ability to provide consultative assistance to team members and professionals.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work processing team and Regulatory Specialist II activities.
Ability to maintain effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to establish and maintain dependable, effective working relationships with others.
Ability to maintain pre-approved work schedule with minimal interruptions to workflow.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with LEIDS, Axiom Pro

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those who meet the following minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years administrative experience to include computer software, data entry, document preparation, and personnel experience.
  • College education can substitute for the required experience on a year for-year basis.
