The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization

Responsibilities:

Two years of experience in human resources or benefits coordination required. Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within short deadlines. Is expected to maintain confidentiality, safeguard employee information, and handle documents with sensitivity and discretion. Must have strong, analytical, evaluative, research skills. Must be willing to travel throughout New York City using public transportation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required. Knowledge of HRIS and other HR-related data systems is strongly preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English

preferred.

  • Ensure paperwork for new hires, promotions, transfers and terminations is accurate and complete for processing.
  • Review, edit and finalize all Corrective Discipline Reports in conjunction with program and VP or designee.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of employee discipline including the grievance processes.
  • Track all aspects of employee discipline into the HRIS system.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies and procedures, and reporting are in compliance with regulatory agencies; perform related research as requested.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business units (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Identifies training needs for business units
  • Facilitate new hire orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals and objectives and serve as alternate for HR benefits orientation as needed and/or conduct special HR orientations.
  • Compile reports from HRIS as necessary; assist with audit requests as necessary.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Advocate and foster a customer service-oriented department in relation to the human resources function.
  • Educate program representatives regarding human resources policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate all HR trainings, included but not limited to, Supervisor Bootcamp, Corrective Discipline Report (CDR).
  • Regularly visit the program sites to improve our partnership with program/s.
  • Identify and suggest improvements and efficiencies in HR-related processes.
  • Regular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundlings and your departments specific time and attendance policies and protocol.
  • Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundlings BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence).
  • Adherence to The Foundlings employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements
  • Any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned.

Salary Range: $68,544 - $75,844/year

Qualifications:
  • 2 plus years Human Resources Experience required.
  • Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within short deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout New York City and Rockland County using public transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organizations hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
