PART-TIME NANNY (30 hours weekly)
Location: Cambridge, MA, 02140
Start date: April 10th, 2024
Children's ages: 7 & 4 years old.
Compensation: $30-$35 an hour
Schedule: Wednesday 8:30am-6:30pm, Thursday & Friday 7:30am-6:30pm.
Job description:
A busy, friendly family in Cambridge is looking for a Family Assistant/Nanny. The family is seeking a responsible and proactive assistant to support the family's daily routine, primarily focused on caring for their two daughters.Applicants must be dedicated and organized and enjoy working with children and supporting household activities. The schedule entails the following:
Wednesday:
- 10:30am-4:30pm: Assist with various tasks including dinner preparation and snack arrangement.
- 4:30pm-5pm: Pick up the girls from their schools, ensuring they have snacks, and accompany them to the playground or engage them in indoor play if weather conditions are unfavorable.
- 6pm-6:30pm: Provide dinner and assist with cleaning up after meal preparation.
Thursday:
- 7:30am-8am: Help the girls get dressed and provide them with breakfast.
- 8:30am: Walk the girls to school.
- 9am-4:30pm: Continue assisting with household tasks including meal preparation and snack arrangement.
- 4:30pm-5pm: Pick up the girls from school, ensuring they have snacks, and engage them in outdoor or indoor activities.
- 6pm-6:30pm: Provide dinner and assist with cleaning up afterward.
Friday:
- 7:30am-8am: Assist with getting the girls ready for the day and providing breakfast.
- 8:30am: Accompany the girls to school.
- 9am-4:30pm: Continue with household tasks and meal preparation.
- 4:30pm-5pm: Pick up the girls from school, providing snacks and facilitating outdoor or indoor activities.
- 6pm-6:30pm: Provide dinner and assist with cleaning up dinner preparation.
Note: Every other Friday, the girls will be staying at their alternate residence, requiring the nanny to focus solely on household tasks and dinner preparation.
The daughters enjoy outdoor play and engaging in arts and crafts activities indoors; therefore, screen time is limited during the week.
During inclement weather, transportation to school is required, and the nanny must have their own vehicle for errands and transportation. Car seats are provided, designated parking is available and the family will provide mileage reimbursement.
Benefits: Paid holidays, sick days, and vacation. (30) guaranteed hours weekly.
Requirements:
- First Aid/CPR Certification required
- Non- smoker
- At least 21 years old
- At least 2 years of nanny experience
- At least 2 years of family assistant experience
- Clear a background check & motor vehicle report
- COVID vaccination
- Must be okay with a small dog
- Reliable transportation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
