The Mom Project is Hiring a Remote Procurement Specialist

Our Customer’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Menlo Park, CA. Candidates must be able to work in Pacific Standard Time Zone hours.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with key business partners and cross-functional teams to action source-to-pay requests for engineering and information security teams
Review stakeholder requirements, triage and track high volume project requests; manage contract and renewal queues, follow up with appropriate teams to close projects
Prepare master agreements and related statements of work for professional services and software
Negotiate and redline contracts
Work with appropriate internal teams to evaluate deals and run Request for X (RFx) events
Analyze price proposals, contracts and spending data
Prepare rate cards, contract/compliance trackers and other sourcing-related process documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business activities and contracts comply with internal policies, guidelines, industry laws and regulation
Support on other sourcing projects as needed
Must-Haves:
At least 4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contracting
Demonstrated experience using Excel/Google Sheets to do spend, rate, and contracts analysis
Demonstrated experience using Word/Google Docs to draft and redline contracts (specifically professional services agreements and related statements of work)
Ability to use internal tools to triage high-volume work, launch RFx, route contracts for approvals and follow up with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data
Highly motivated and able to think clearly under pressure
Able to proactively prioritize, organize, and use available tools to be highly productive in managing high work volumes
Ability to flourish in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
Ability to balance legal/contractual issues with business risk
Comfortable working with various tools including MS Office, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and contract management and spend analytics tools
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines
Tableau experience would be a plus, as well as experience running Request for Proposal (RFP) events
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related Business field required
Hours & Location:
M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote. Candidates must be able to work in Pacific Standard Time Zone hours.
