The Law Office of Usman B. Ahmad, PC is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Long Island, NY

Job Description

The Law Office of Usman B. Ahmad, PC is dedicated to serving a diverse group of clients including individual clients and corporations across all 50 states and throughout the world in all areas of U.S. immigration law. The firm’s practice areas also include real estate, estate planning, bankruptcy, and business, matrimonial and family law.

Our Business Development team is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The candidate must be adaptable and showing flexibility. The candidate must maintain an image of professionalism and integrity. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling clients within 48 hours of their initial contact/email/call, retaining process for the majority of the potential clients.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls from prospective clients and direct it to the assigned manager.
  • Maintain prospective client calendars as well as conference calls schedule.
  • Manage prospective client list.
  • Remain up-to-date on IT and office technology including the operation of scanners, copiers, printers, webcams, software etc. and report issues if necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to help with the efficient functioning of the department.
  • Requirements:
  • Must have 2 years of Administrative experience in a fast-paced working environment; prior experience in a law firm preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Acrobat, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • A pleasant attitude and ability to work with a team
  • Background in communications, preferred but not required

Salary:

$15 - $17 per hour.
