We are a small,very busy retail jewelry store looking for a customer-oriented individual. We have been in business for 32 years and pride ourselves with great customer service and work performed. Happy and returning customers are what our business was built on. The goal is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate's day will consist of helping with walk in customers' needs, which could include watch battery changes, cleaning jewelry, and sales of new jewelry. Also, would include writing up of incoming orders or repairs and delivery of finished jobs. Light cleaning duties and setting up display presentation are included, as well. Later, the candidate will also be helping customer's with custom jewelry designing. All this, while pricing and inventorying new items and placing them on the appropriate displays. This job isn't limited to these duties only and we will train on new duties as any interests arise.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with customer needs
• Handling of money and processing credit cards with the ability to give back correct change with counting back method or use of calculator
• Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
• Handle customer complaints with help of management to provide appropriate solutions
• Keep records of customer interactions, process customer payments and file documents
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Daily loading and unloading of display cases while inventory is stored in safe at night
• Daily light cleaning duties

Skills

• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to count back change and/or work calculator
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Must be able to stand and walk most of the day with little sitting down

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
