- Perform administrative duties for an individual, group, or department.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes and correspondence.
- Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Manage schedules, arrange appointments and itineraries.
- Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls, and complete expense reports.
- Answer and transfer phone calls.
- Remain knowledgeable of business unit policies.
- May make contacts of a sensitive, complex, and confidential nature.
- May work for one or several department professionals, division heads, officers, or managers.
- May mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others
- High School diploma and knowledge of administrative processes as would typically be acquired through 6-10 years of work in a senior management support environment. College degree preferred.
- Able to multi-task on a variety of assignments while remaining focused and professional. Needs to be flexible and adaptable in dealing with changing priorities and tasks.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to exercise initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage details accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a high-profile environment requiring discretion, judgment, tact, diplomacy and highly intuitive.
- Detail oriented with exemplary time management and follow-up skills.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office software include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as strong computer literacy to learn multiple science databases and software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to be a positive team player across diverse internal and external organization.
