Staff Accountant

Core Tasks of the Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts receivable, purchasing processes, and the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records across all divisions and locations. The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for gaining and maintaining the skills necessary to perform activities related to accounts receivable and other accounting functions. This position will work closely with personnel across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership in preparing statements and tracking accounts receivable

  • Conduct monthly accounts receivable reviews withLeadership

  • Process monthly billing for all Hope Centers clients prior to Leadership invoice review

  • Reconcile insurance payer payments in Central Reach weekly

  • Prepare applicable school districts’ access billing for Leadership review

  • Ensure proper records handling and timely payment responses by entering data accurately and promptly

  • Proactively resolve billing issues with the appropriate Hope staff

  • Complete SDI’s for schools and ensure appropriate receivables are added to monthly school district invoices

  • Purchasing and asset tracking

  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance

  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance

  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education

  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate

  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children

  • State License of Practice and/or Certification

  • CPR/First Aid

  • TB/Physical
