The Flower Shop is Hiring a Retail Manager- Arizona Near Phoenix, AZ

JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Manager- Arizona reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for profitability of the Arizona dispensaries and their teams. The Retail Manager- Arizona will oversee three dispensaries, ensuring they achieve or exceeds all key metrics and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for three cannabis retail locations in Arizona.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor regional sales goals and profitability targets.
  • Analyze sales data and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop general managers, fostering a positive, high-performing, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure all retail locations comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and exceptional customer service across all retail locations.
  • Oversee inventory management, loss prevention, and cash control procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff for all assigned retail locations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development for all staff.
  • Prepare and manage retail budgets and financial reports.
  • Weekly travel to all three retail locations to visit stores, meet with staff and stakeholders.
  • Build a high-performing dispensary management team by pairing critical talent selection with individual store needs.
  • Develop, coach, and inspire employees to achieve individual and team goals through regular feedback inclusive of recurring performance discussions and career development planning. Sustain coaching, training and development initiatives specific to succession planning needs.
  • Uphold a culture of accountability, people-centeredness and forward-thinking in the performance management of dispensary general managers.
  • Respond to all general manager's questions, concerns or suggestions and communicate resource needs to the COO; provide timelines for resolution and/or implementation.
  • Regularly assess store staffing and efficiency for improvement opportunities and workforce planning.
  • Establish and nurture key business partner relationships across Human Resources, Compliance, Security, Marketing, and IT.
  • Lead dispensary general managers in cohesive forecasting, scheduling, outstanding customer service and execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Analyze business metrics to create, implement and communicate action plans that promote growth and continuous improvement of dispensary operations.
  • Achieve sales objectives by creating and monitoring performance of sales and inventory plans, influencing marketing materials, maintaining online platforms and establishing inventory controls.
  • Partner with purchasing department to select product line enhancements (cultivators/vendors/products) given regional trends and customer demographics; ensure dispensary management is prepared and resourced to launch enhancements.
  • Gather data and insights from individual dispensaries to contribute to strategic plans for the region that address business and competitor risk.
  • Partner with Human Resources to investigate and resolve employee relations and employee engagement concerns in a timely manner
  • Manage any inspection or audit escalations.
  • Develop organization plans in support of short-term strategy to monitor and drive the achievement of company and individual performance through KPI's and other metrics.
  • Provide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to corporate retail leadership across all areas of dispensary operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably within the cannabis industry.
  • Proven success in leading and developing high-performing retail teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
