The Dominick Hotel is Hiring a Sales Coordinator Near New York, NY

As the only Five-Diamond property in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, the 46-story, 391-room hotel offers guests unsurpassed accommodations and sweeping views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. The downtown address lends itself to a casual, more comfortable style of luxury. The design of the hotel imbues a welcoming feeling to the arrival experience with a soaring lobby space enriched by the warmth of wood louvers and the glow of a fireplace. Vestry, the one-star Michelin restaurant, with its relaxing vibe and spectacular cuisine has quickly become a neighborhood and guest favorite. Summer is when the Terrace on 7 becomes a coveted destination with the outdoor lounge pool, cabanas, and a chance to imbibe on a sampling of international street food and refreshing cocktails at El Ta’koy.

Job Overview

Coordinate services for clients and in-house guests. Work with the marketing team and with agency partners in coordinating media, influencer, and filming requests/stays, and provide communication and administrative support for the department.

Requirements
Sales Related:

  • Respond to client calls and special requests and obtain final details, dates, times, and guest room and meeting room requirements. Regularly follow-up with clients and maintain accurate and updated information.
  • Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances, or dissatisfied clients
  • Coordinate details with other departments for VIP amenities, special requests, or other service needs or special handling.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Submittal of daily amenity requests. Requires coordination with Guest Relations, Food & Beverage Departments as well as Front Office.
  • Perform administrative duties such as creating proposals, letters, contracts, VIP alerts, etc. Collect data and updates databases.
  • Site Inspection Forms.
  • VIP tracking and control
  • Daily monitoring of incoming leads, review booking period for short term bookings and assign to supervisor for immediate review.
  • Full execution and review of leads in the absence of Sales Managers or Directors
  • Run prior days Prospects, Tentatives and Definites for daily morning Guest Rooms Control Meetings.
  • Weekly Guest Rooms Control reports: tentative and prospective. Will be used for following up to close business.
  • Create group contracts, and group turnovers to Event Manager.
  • Create Resume and BEO

Marketing-focused:

  • Reviews sales quarterly action plans to create and support marketing communication to various market segments/databases.
  • Creates and schedules email mail blasts for sales team members – tradeshow follow up, seasonal messaging, etc.
  • Responsible for updating business listings and various digital touchpoints with current information, i.e., new promotions, menus, hours of operation, etc. – Intelity, website, luxury consortia partner platforms, Revinate, etc.
  • Works with the Marketing team and partner agencies to coordinate and execute influencer visits, partner events, photoshoots. Coordinate and communicating details with other departments for room / space reservations, special requests, or other service needs or special handling.
  • May coordinate outside vendor service’s needs (floral displays, audio/visual, gifting etc.) where appropriate for client, sales, and marketing events. Regularly follow-up to ensure set-up requirements meet client needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (guest room tours, property tours, special guest requests, maintaining calendars, answering phones and routing to appropriate sales staff, handling of mail, faxes, etc.)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year experience in hospitality. Some College preferred. Must speak fluent English. Multiple languages strongly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Delphi, HMS knowledge a plus.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  • Proficient PC computer skills Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Communicating with customers, employees, and third parties
  • Use a keyboard to generate correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Handling objects, products and computer equipment

Other:

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and guests.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
