Role Description

We are seeking a Full-Time motivated an experienced Hotel Sales and Events Coordinator to join our team based at Sanctuary Hotel New York. As a full-time coordinator, you will be responsible for handling multiple properties and driving sales and event bookings across all properties. This role requires a strong background in sales, event coordination, and client relationship management.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Sales and Marketing:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy across multiple properties.
  • Identify and target potential clients and markets to generate leads and increase sales.
  • Conduct site visits and tours to showcase the properties and amenities to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote the properties.

2. Event Coordination:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of events, including conferences, weddings, meetings, and social gatherings.
  • Manage event logistics, such as room set-up, audiovisual equipment, catering, and transportation.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance, to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Handle event inquiries, negotiate contracts, and prepare event proposals and contracts.

3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address any issues or concerns raised by clients.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

4. Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, events, and client information.
  • Prepare sales and event reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of improvement.

5. Multiple Property Management:

  • Coordinate and prioritize activities and resources across multiple properties.
  • Ensure consistent branding and service standards are maintained across all properties.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address any operational or service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years' hotel experience in hotel sales, front Desk, or events department.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office and event management software.
  • Knowledge in Marriott property management system is a plus.
