Position Overview
Do you like to be at the heart of operations? If you thrive on real-time plan execution, schedule management, problem-solving and accountability, this is the position for you. You’ll be the central point of contact for our residential customers, drivers and managers. Every day, you’ll see your impact on service quality, safety and asset management. You’ll be a key contributor to successful route execution using precision logistics tools. Starting pay $19 - $20/hr.
Key Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience in a high-volume dispatch & customer service role
Customer service/Communication/Collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Discipline in applying department/company processes and procedures
Problem-solving and action follow-up skills
Effective and professional communication skills via email, telephone, and other technological devices
Proficiency in use of scheduling and communications software applications
Attention to detail and accuracy in using multiple information sources, including reports and databases
Reliable attendance in office
U.S. employment authorization
Other Helpful Background
Associate’s degree or equivalent
Experience in environmental management, transportation, waste management or logistics industry
Community service experience
Continuous improvement knowledge/skills
Interest in sustainability
Responsibilities
Assist on planning, assigning, monitoring, and following-up daily route assignments
Assist in determining weekly Driver and Helper staffing
Maintain high-volume communication with residential customers, Drivers and management regarding delays, changes, cancellations, re-routing, and continuous improvement processes
Serve as an emergency point of contact for Drivers/Helpers on logistics and safety issues
Communicate with residential customers regarding service
Ensure same-day service for all residential routes, escalating as needed
Take action to resolve complaints and problems
Comply with department/company processes and procedures
Maintain dispatch logs and databases
Prepare and distribute operational reports
