QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
Buckeye Shapeform, a Columbus, Ohio well established metal fabrication and deep draw metal forming manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician..
Buckeye Shapeform is ISO9001 / AS9100 certified providing electronic enclosures to a variety of industries including audio/video, telecommunications, medical and transportation. Additionally, Buckeye Shapeform possesses precision deep draw metal forming capabilities providing mission critical components to military and aerospace applications.
The QA Tech is responsible for quality inspection of product and material including (but not limited to) incoming material inspection, in process inspection, final inspection & returned material inspection. They will also maintain\s charts, graphs, and statistical records relating to the quality, nature, and causes of defects. Perform destructive / non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products measuring performance or material characteristics, as required.
Experience with the use of precision measurement instruments such as CMM, Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers, etc. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Qualifications: High School/Technical school, experience with dimensional measuring equipment, familiar with ISO 9001 & AS 9100 Quality Standards. mathematical skills as related to the position, good organizational skills, detail oriented and able to work independently. Proficient with computer skills including MS Office applications. At least two years experience in manufacturing quality environment; would consider a student in quality assurance technology.
