Iconic Westwood diner The Apple Pan is seeking a General Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to take responsibility of a legendary LA restaurant and assist in building our take-out and delivery service. The ideal candidate must possess at least 2 years prior management experience in a fast-casual environment and have a natural drive to go above and beyond. Candidates should have a passion for excellence and a knack for authentically building and maintaining guest relationships. Fluency in English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily FOH operations to ensure excellence in service, hospitality and food quality
• Provide effective leadership for FOH and BOH team by being engaged in daily operations, providing direction and support to achieve goals
• Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest and direct communication
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and perform needed repairs

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years management experience in a full-service, high-volume, fast-casual restaurant, and have a valid food handler’s license or ServSafe certification
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to implement systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective operations
• Outstanding leadership, dynamic personality and the passion to create a culture rooted in hospitality
• Professional maturity, sense of urgency and the constant desire to achieve excellence
• Proficiency in computer skills, POS systems, scheduling, ordering and accounting platforms
• Must have AM/PM/Holiday availability
• Must be able to stand comfortably for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
