• Oversee accounting operations including cash receipts from Salesforce and the caging vendor.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of Daily Cash Report.
• Process journal entries for all cash receipts.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries to the general ledger and associated reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Maintain and ensure that the fixed asset list is kept up to date.
• Perform duties associated with monthly closing for preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Follow up on delinquent accounts and be instrumental in changing the process from a manual to an automated database.
• Field requests for information regarding department reports from respective department heads as well as requests from other individuals in the organization.
• Provides operations support to the department as required or requested.
• Provide assistance and support for the accounts payable function in Bill.com and for travel expenditures and reimbursements in Bill Spend and Expense.
• Provide support in the budget process with Planning Maestro.
• Provide support in the general ledger utilizing Sage Intacct.
• Convey a professional and positive image that reflects favorably on The ALS Association.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of threeyears' experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit work environment.
• Strong analytical and computer skills with knowledge of Salesforce and Sage Intacct strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of financial reporting including financial statements and budget.
• Understands business implications of actions.
• Ability to work on a team, exhibit objectivity and openness to other's views, and support everyone's efforts to succeed.

The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.
