Overview:
Hamilton Park Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This is a leadership role that requires strong supervisory skills and a deep understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of nursing leadership, nurses and healthcare professionals
- Develop and implement nursing care plans and systems
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Oversee shift management and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Monitor patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to care plans
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in NY
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nurse management or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices
- Experience in home care, assisted living, or home health preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proven leadership abilities and the ability to inspire and motivate others
