Director of Nursing Services Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing functions at the facility
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as developing, maintaining, and updating policies, procedures, and objectives
• Assess progress/changes to treatment plans and outcome objectives
• Assist with recruitment and selection of nursing service personnel
• Promote customer service and hospitality and respond adequately to resolve complaints or concerns from customers
• Ensures all records are maintained and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
• Make rounds to residents, as necessary, to residents are well taken care of
• Ensures there is an adequate level of medications, supplies, and equipment on the premises at all times
• Oversee the QA/QI program by implementing revisions to current policies and procedures warranting compliance with Risk management issues involving complaints, grievances, and accidents
• Monitor nursing staff to ensure all procedures, guidelines, and policies are followed with all regulatory standards of care
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary

Director of Nursing Services Requirements

• Valid, current RN license
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• At least one-year experience as Assistant Director of Nursing Services
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• COVID-19 Vaccination
