We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing for Rehab Facility. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care within our rehabilitation facility. The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing operations, lead a team of compassionate nursing professionals, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote the well-being and recovery of our patients. Job Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unrestricted license in the state of NY. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing, with a focus on rehabilitation or long-term care settings preferred. Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles, practices, and standards of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of nursing professionals. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to nursing practice and rehabilitation services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction for nursing services within the rehabilitation facility. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement among nursing staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives for nursing personnel. Patient Care and Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient recovery and functional independence. Oversee infection control measures and compliance with safety protocols to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Staffing and Resource Management: Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate skill mix to meet patient care needs. Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing personnel, providing orientation and ongoing training as needed. Allocate resources efficiently and effectively, including budget oversight and inventory management of nursing supplies and equipment. Foster a supportive work environment that promotes staff morale, engagement, and professional satisfaction. Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practice and rehabilitation services. Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and accreditation reviews, maintaining readiness and adherence to standards. Monitor and address any deficiencies or areas of non-compliance identified during audits or inspections, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of transparency and open communication. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and enhance patient care outcomes.
