Program Specialist III (Program Specialist)
This position involves complex technical and consultative services assistance work. Work involves planning, coordination, developing, and implementing agency programs, and processes, including collaborating in the preparation and maintenance of business requirements documentation. May supervise the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
This position:
· Collects, organizes, analyzes, and prepares business requirement documentation and materials related to business process improvement, and system enhancements.
· Collaborates in the planning for the development of documentation of agency programs and process improvement.
· Performs technical research for resolving problems involving document handling processes, including providing support in response to inquiries from program areas and agency customers.
· Assists in the development and maintenance of technical documentation for DWC user applications and reporting, including providing security access to systems and monitoring of claim confidentiality procedures and events.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires:
· Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
· Three years of work experience in technical writing and business process analysis or in a field related to the position.
· Education and Experience relevant to the position may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
Additional job details:
This position requires regular work attendance. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. If eligible, the employee must have a secure, dedicated workspace with reliable broadband internet service. The ideal candidate must be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours.
