Glimpse into the job:
The Business Associate I, under general supervision, provides support for business activities at the Harte Research Institute.
How You Will Contribute:
Reconciles, creates, tracks all procurement card expense reports for Harte Research Institute on a monthly basis.
Prepares and monitors interdepartmental transfers for institute service center accounts and assets on a monthly basis.
Investigates errors on transactions and recommends appropriate corrective action. Responds to routine inquiries from vendors and other business units or departments.
Prepares basic purchasing documents, enters, reviews, and reconciles vouchers and requisitions related to all purchases needed for Harte Research Institute.
Provides information used to create basic standardized financial statements.
Prepares and reviews electronic documents.
Back up coordinator all purchasing activities.
Monitor and maintain open encumbrance report.
Maintains business files and assists with specialized business tasks.
Participates in the hiring and training of business staff and/or student workers and may provide supervision.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Three years of related experience.
Additional education may be used as a substitution for the minimum experience requirement.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Interpersonal and communication skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
