Role Description

You are captivated by the idea of operating sites that enable the rapid scaling of the electric vehicle electrification market and the infrastructure required to support the transition to electrified transport. In this role, you will have the responsibility for program and project management activities for operating sites, starting from pre-commercial operation until sustained, mature operation. Such activities may include site acceptance, customer success and care, equipment and facilities operations and maintenance. You will have mastery of important technical concepts. You bring critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) necessary for a range of responsibilities from quantitative fluencies to successful external public and commercial stakeholder engagement. You have a proven ability to take ownership and initiative. You prioritize attention to detail, time management, and organization in your work to manage multiple projects, including site-specific project schedules, budgets, and other internal project control and reporting tools. With a demonstrated experience in project management in EV, renewable energy or related fields, you will bring development expertise and hands-on leadership to grow with the team to deliver outstanding EV solutions and sites. By developing future transportation infrastructure, you will directly impact vehicle fleet operators' confidence and success in electrification.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create unified processes to ensure project owners accomplish tasks, budgets and milestones as well as quickly mitigate project risks and blockers, enabling the successful launch of our charging sites
  • Establish and implement best practices and procedures for all TeraWatt Charging sites from pre-commercial operation until sustained operation
  • Conduct risk assessment of strategic, technical, finance, political or business factors impacting site operations. Formulate and take corrective actions to mitigate deviations to the program plans and alerts management of potential problems when appropriate.
  • Assist with issuing requests for proposal from vendors in a form which is easily comparable and actionable by company management and project managers 
  • Set up and maintain leadership and operations team management dashboard to identify critical progress, site performance, and risks for all projects and operating sites
  • Develop and introduce strategies for continuous improvement across all operational activities to achieve cost efficiency and world class customer service from internal team members and external vendors
  • Forecast demand on internal and third-party people resources, identifying and effecting strategies for balancing resources to ensure timely delivery of key milestones
  • Proactively address potential issues and manage tasks to advance project development activities
  • Enhance and maintain unified communications to Management, Product, Sales & Business Development, Finance, Technology and Development teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 - 10 years experience in operation, construction, or engineering project development or management, including for complex projects, in any of the following: renewable energy development, vehicle electrification, EV charging infrastructure, clean energy, power grids, freight or fleet transport and logistics
  • 3 years managing a Project Management team
  • Familiarity with large project management tools, software, contracting structures and projects
  • Experience across the entire project development lifecycle, including site acquisition due diligence, design, permitting, utility service provisioning, procurement, contracting, acceptance and commissioning
  • Experience with cross functional teams and collaborating with Finance, Commercial, and Development teams on site operations 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Four-year degree, equivalent, or higher level degrees in business administration, urban planning or engineering fields.

$160,000 - $190,000 a year
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, interview performance, and geographic location.
This role is eligible for: Terawatt Equity Plan, Terawatt Bonus Plan, Flexible Time Off (FTO) for vacation, personal, or sick use, Healthcare insurance (medical, dental, vision), FSA, Commuter Benefits, 401K, Paid Parental Leave (based on program eligibility requirements)
