Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Dallas Facility

Travel: 25% to 50%

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to generate leads, drive sales, increase revenue, and expand markets. This position will develop and use contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to business needs for generating sales.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Gathers market, customer, and competitor intelligence and insights, to create ideal customer profiles and communicates this valuable information to relevant stakeholders, contributing to the refinement of sales, marketing, and technical strategies.
  • Strategy: Collaborates closely with cross-functional team members in Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that not only meet but exceed targets. This includes identifying critical market segments, growth regions, and industry verticals for expansion.
  • Lead Generation: Develops and implements strategies to generate new leads and works with Sales to nurture them to be opportunities for the company.
  • Campaigns: Create targeted vertical campaigns, aligned with the corporate strategy utilizing marketing research, lead lists, market analysis and buyer intent data
  • Partner Development: Develop and maintain partnership program processes and requirements, fostering relationships, onboarding, and ongoing training and success programs.
  • Strategic Alliances: Develop strategic alliance relationships with complimentary companies to help with expanding application solutions and sales growth. Manages activities such as white paper and webinar events and maintains frequent contact with alliance companies to identify, build and strengthen the relationship and market the joint efforts.
  • Networking: Attends industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s network, identify new opportunities and generate leads for Sales.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience selling complex networking solutions and services
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related role
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to adjust your approach as needed
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • Good time management and analytical skills
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined with a “can do” attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with Social Media Platforms
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Willingness to travel as required

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other sales related field, technical field and or equivalent directly related experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in business development
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with outbound sales and marketing tools such as HubSpot, Outreach, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator 
  • 5 Years experience in business development and outbound sales experience
  • Fluent in English and French
