Your Impact
The Service Manager will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching the Service Technicians on service calls (about 80 calls a month), maintain records such as serial numbers, track fuel sold and returned, create service orders, invoices and purchase parts. They will constantly stay in communication with all service team members to ensure parts are stocked, service calls are resolved and tank repairs are completed to our customer’s satisfaction.
Key Deliverables
The key deliverable is to service our customers’ needs accurately and in a timely manner. To achieve this, these sub-deliverables must be met:
1. In the first two weeks, meet with different members of the team and understand the company goals, the team members and their roles, Ted Johnson Propane’s service and solutions offerings, and our internal service process.
2. Within one month learn tank repair/re-certification process, answer service calls, and dispatch Service Technicians.
a. Create paperwork for tank repairs, quote repairs, call for approval and schedule for tank returns.
b. Write up service orders, schedule service calls, and invoice completed work.
3. Within 60 days learn purchase process and be familiar with all parts used (Approx. 130)
a. Create a Purchase Order and receive parts
b. Learn Inventory module in Lynx.
4. By 90 days:
a. Be proficient in all of the above
b. Learn month end process, pull reports and reconcile

Ted Johnson Propane pays a competitive wage based on the candidate’s background, education and experience. Starting wage range is between $25 - $28/hour. Ted Johnson Propane offers company-paid health benefits for the employee and his or her dependents, paid vacation, sick & holidays, company sponsored training and employee managed Profit Sharing/401k plan.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm
