Tectonics is Hiring an Accounts Payable /Accounting Clerk Near Auburn, MI
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records vendor payments, invoices and transactions related to accounts Payable including 1099 information/filing.
- Creates payments according to company practices.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Collaborate with billing, sales and operations teams to resolve billing and payment concerns.
- Assists in reconciling GL accounts each month.
- Month end closing items
- Resolves account inquiries from customers.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Controller/Manager.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Ability to multi-task various projects with high level of detail
- Effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a strong team environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, issues, situations and procedures to develop effective solutions
- Demonstrated ability to display excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience using SAP, preferred
- Overtime (or ability to work irregular hours) may be required to meet project deadlines and end of month responsibilities.
