Position Information

Job Summary:
The HR Information Systems Analyst maintains Tecomet's HRIS application and modules, bridging the gap between HR Centers of Excellence, HR, Information Technology and the end user. This role is key in the planning, implementation and maintenance of Tecomet’s HRIS. As an experienced professional in both HR technology and the user experience, this role delivers new systems and enhancements to support general human resources, benefits, compensation, recruiting, and talent initiatives. Continuously leveraging their business and technology expertise, the HRIS Analyst works with business and technical teams to close gaps between solutions, design, and user need. The HR Systems Analyst brings the user experience to the forefront of all functional deliverables and is a tireless advocate for end user experience within HR technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systes, and modules.
    • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
    • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
    • Works with the HR team and business to evaluate reports, identify reporting needs, and develops a solution to streamline and/or automate where possible.
    • Manages permissions, access, personalization and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
    • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
    • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
    • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
    • Conducts analysis for use in strategic planning, data integrity and decision making.
    • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
    • Ensures accuracy and integrity of data within the HRIS.
    • Prepares end-user documentation and/or training materials, user guides and conducts end user training.
    • Performs other duties as required.

Qualification Requirements

Educational/Training Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.

Experience:
ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
  • 5 years of experience with HR business systems
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures.
  • Handles complex issues and problems; escalates only the most complex issues.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand. The employee could frequently be required to walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
