JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform tasks related to the efficient processing of distribution center transactions. Develop and implement appropriate internal checks and balances to help ensure an effective and efficient process. Develop strategies involving customer service requirements, process coordination, elimination of redundant steps and parallel processing. Ensure the accurate, efficient, safe receipt, processing, storage, and delivery of all goods and materials. Assist in handling daily administrative and organizational functions of the distribution center. Prepare and create daily, weekly and monthly analysis reporting.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
· Starting salary $20.55 per hour
· Shift 8am-430pm M-F
· Day 1 benefits to include electable coverage for medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, supplemental life and 401K.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
· Become proficient in the use of all software systems including SDS Vision and customer software when necessary.
· Recording and maintaining inventory of all goods and materials in the distribution center.
· Carry out all tasks assigned by the General Operations Manager.
· Completing material requisitions and order forms accurately.
· Recording damaged, lost or surplus goods and materials stored in the distribution center to the General Operations Manager and the Customer.
· Preparing inventory balances and other related spreadsheet documents.
· Accurately verify staged inventory by comparing orders to physical count and visual verification of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
· Provide exceptional “White Glove” customer service to SDS customers as well as to their customers and vendors.
· Ensure proper inventory techniques and methods, such as FIFO, are used per customer instructions when managing inventory.
· Create UPC shipping and inventory labels and/or pick-slips.
· Set appointments for driver pickup and delivery.
· Manually update inventory reports in excel daily.
· Perform daily cycle counts, as requested by Customer.
· Create inventory pick-lists for distribution center warehouse workers.
· Exhibit exceptional Customer Service Skills when communicating directly with customers.
· Review paperwork for accuracy, such as piece count, signatures, lot numbers, etc. and keep accurate detailed records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
· Review SDS Vision after each shipment for accuracy.
