Clinical Therapist (Part-Time)

$26-$33/hour (based on experience)

Team Recovery Ohio, LLC, the fastest growing organization providing treatment for substance use and mental health disorders in Northwest Ohio, is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Therapist! Qualified applicants must be motivated, compassionate and energetic, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve potential issues.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing a safe environment for clients while they are in the treatment center. They will assist with the admission process, provide Individual Therapy Sessions, and assist in facilitating Treatment Groups. This position coordinates, develops, and carries out treatment plans for the clients in their caseload. They will also need to complete documentation for all services rendered in a timely manner and meet productivity standards on a weekly and monthly basis.

The Clinical Therapist position will treat patients who have a behavioral health and/or Substance Use Disorder diagnosis and requires experience in the behavioral health and Substance Use Disorder treatment field.

Job Functions/Duties:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnose substance use disorder and/or other co-occurring psychiatric disorders within scope of practice.
  • Evaluate the health of patients and participate in the creation, updating, and reviewing of personalized treatment plans for all clients based on their recommended level of care.
  • Provides individual and group treatment sessions and completes documentation on all services rendered in a timely manner.
  • Coach patients on development of healthy activities, eating habits and the dangers of unhealthy behaviors.
  • Assist in de-escalating AMA/ACA issues and emergencies; administering care while contacting and communicating with appropriate emergency personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience in coordinating patient care and treating patients with behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders, including Medication Assisted Treatments.
  • Must be proficient in electronic health record management systems and documentation, as well as the utilization of office and clinical technologies.
  • Advanced ability to educate patients, staff, and the community on health issues and promoting overall wellness.
  • Must possess conflict management and crisis intervention experience and skills, as well as possess the ability to effectively apply problem-solving skills while providing real time solutions.
  • Must possess interpersonal and interprofessional collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate challenges effectively.
  • Must possess a compassionate, relationship-based, and trauma-informed approach.
  • Must possess high ethical standards, and the ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material and situations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License and insurance with clean driving record (required).
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (required).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the behavioral health and Substance Use Disorder treatment field is preferred (not required).
  • Weekends and Holidays required

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or applicable field of study is preferred (not required).
  • Valid LSW, LISW, MSW, LPC and/or LPCC License in the state of Ohio (required)
  • First Aid/CPR, AED, BLS, and/or ALS Certifications are preferred (not required).
  • CPRS, CDCA, QMHS, and/or CPI Certifications are preferred (not required).
