Description
Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
We are currently seeking a full-time Adult Clinical Therapist. The clinical therapist is responsible for providing face-to-face individual and group therapy for clients of the Zepf Center who are experiencing problems with their mental health and/or AoD (Alcohol & Other Drugs) issues, as well as both personal and interpersonal problems. The therapist provides these services within the context of the goals identified on the client's individualized care plan.
Essential duties of the adult therapist include but are not limited to:
  • Providing individual and group therapy both in agency facilities and in the community based on client needs as identified on the Individual Care Plan (ICP).
  • Assists in the formulation of Individual Care Plan and signs on all clients serviced. Works closely with other agencies and may provide crisis intervention services.
  • Maintains direct service productivity per agency standards.
  • Maintains required documentation per agency standards.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Consults and collaborates with other agency staff as requested by supervisor.
Specific/Individual Competencies:
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training
Organizational Competencies:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the agency mission, vision, goals and philosophy as well as the policies and procedures.
  • Strives for high client satisfaction by providing leadership and/or assistance to coworkers and clients through the integrated care process.
  • Demonstrate consistent professionalism.
  • Demonstrate teamwork.
  • Abide by the agencies and/or professional code of ethics.

Requirements

  • Bachleor's degree; Master's degree preferred (applicants will also be considered for those who are at least half-way through the completed coursework within a master's program)
  • LPC or LSW required through the state of Ohio (LPCC or LSW preferred)
  • Preference will be given to those applicants with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
Those eligible to drive the company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage as defined by the agency commercial insurance carries. Those who drive personal vehicles in the course of business must be able to provide proof of insurance.
