Taylor Glenn Consulting is Hiring a Remote Part-time Accounting Assistant
Taylor Glenn Consulting is a fractional CFO firm looking to add a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to our growing team. This dynamic role will offer exposure to a wide range of industries and clients. This is a work-from-home position; however, the candidate must be located in the Houston metropolitan area for occasional in-person meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and Accounts receivable processing
- Cash and credit card account reconciliations
- Transaction entry and coding
- Merchant account reconciliations
- Process payroll and manage employee changes
- Prepare payroll and all payroll tax returns on a timely basis
- Complete bank reconciliations, monthly
- Review and enter month-end close, including adjusting journal entries
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as needed
- Prepare and issue W9s and 1099s
- General client support as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with payroll service providers
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations, preferred
- Ability to learn in a working environment
- Working knowledge of Intuit platforms and fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, preferred
- Problem Solving & critical thinking skills
- Self-starter that is goal-oriented and self-disciplined
- Able to prioritize work according to deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal skills
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working remotely
- Experience bookkeeping for multiple clients using QBO
- Knowledge of tax accounting and prep
Pay and other information
- Pay range is $15-$18/hr depending on experience
- Desired schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10a - 3p with additional hours as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
