What You Will be Doing

  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships, leveraging existing connections with General Managers to enhance client experiences.
  • Drive new and repeat catering business through initiative-taking sales efforts such as outside sales calls, referrals, and networking.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings to strategize prospecting activities and assess business outcomes.
  • Utilize sales expertise to effectively promote our menu offerings and identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet sales targets, including creating quarterly business plans and fostering a proactive sales culture.
  • Lead catering and sales activities, ensuring adherence to operational standards, exceptional customer service, and a robust sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize processes and support sales initiatives, taking a hands-on approach to management.
  • Provide training and guidance to restaurant teams on off-premises procedures and hospitality standards while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Lead and develop the catering team to drive continuous growth and improvement.
  • Manage relationships with catering vendors, partnerships, and contracts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and achieve budgetary goals for catering activities.
  • Maintain a high standard of food accuracy and professionalism in food delivery and packaging.
  • Regularly review catering packaging and pricing to stay competitive.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry organizations to enhance visibility and opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Understanding of catering trends, market dynamics, customer preferences.
  • Knowledge of menu development, food presentation, and catering best practices.
  • Familiar with sales techniques, lead generation, and conversion strategies specific to catering services.
  • Understanding of event planning, coordination, and execution for various types of events.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to create and manage catering budgets, pricing strategies, and cost analysis.
  • Experience managing customer interactions, sales pipelines, and customer data.
  • Strong sales acumen, negotiating skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Experience leading and motivating a catering sales team, setting goals, and drive performance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address client needs, resolve issues, and adapt to changes.
  • Skill in building and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and event planners.
