Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our accounting team! As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will have a beginner to intermediate experience in accounts payable and possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Open, stamp, and sort mail
  • Match invoices to the correct Purchase Orders for downstream processing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for invoice approval and prepare invoices for entering into ERP.
  • Back office duties assist in filing invoices and checks; ensuring filing is accurate for audit purposes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Possess strong business and professional communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma / degree not necessary
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience
  • Highly detailed, motivated, sense of urgency, organized, and energetic team player
  • Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel - IntermediProactive approach to problem solving
  • Abilitytowork independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ERP systems – Deacom and/or NAV a plus
  • Familiarity with bank systems – M&T a plus
  • Finance and accounting skills
