Job Summary

The role of a Bartender at Tabachines Cocina is extremely important to our success. Ushering in a new era of upscale Mexican Cuisine for Fresno. Our team will be bringing an experience of dining that sets the standard today and will continue to define in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Tabachines standards at all times
• Mix, garnish and serve alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for all guests in the bar and dining room
• Ability to follow exacting standard recipes
• Input beverage and food orders into POS efficiently and effectively, collect payment from guests for food and drink served and tender correct change
• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with Tabachines standards at all times
• Wash, sterilize and polish stemware
• Anticipate guests’ needs
• Keep accurate record in POS of beverages served at all times
• Maintain awareness of guest alcohol consumption in accordance with ABC and Tabachines’ standards
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menu. Ability to recommend beverage pairings with dishes

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Minimum of 1-year previous work experience as bartender in a casual/fine-dining restaurant or barista experience (preferred)
• Must exhibit food & basic service knowledge including sequence of service
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position always
• Must be 21 years of age or above
• Must be available/willing to work lunch shifts
• Valid ServSafe card and ABC L.E.A.D certification (required)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing, listening, verbally communicating, using wrists, hands and fingers to pick up various forms of dishware and glassware as well as entering items in POS system. Occasionally required to carry, push, pull and walk. The employee may also on occasion be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
