Human Resources Generalist

Location: Corporate Office - Gilbert, AZ, 85233

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support to the HR department in various areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, State/Federal labor laws, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is not a supervisor position and you will need to be able to work in a team setting with Recruiting, Payroll, Accounting, and other office staff. The HR Generalist will report directly to the Arizona Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to all employees regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain the Company's Employee Handbook
  • Assist with performance management process including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching
  • Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers and employees
  • Maintain HRIS system and ensure data accuracy for audit purposes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Compiling and submitting EEOC, Paydata, OFCCP, etc. reports
  • Initiating Common Access Card applications for federal contracts.
  • Additional HR functions and projects as assigned (Employee of the Month, Newsletters, Dept. of Labor posters, etc.) 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures and Dept. of Labor laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient with Mac and HRIS systems, Paycor is a plus.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations for AZ. Knowledge of CA, WA, TX, WV state labor laws is a plus.
  • Time management and being adaptable is a plus.
