SurgiCare of Brooklyn specializes in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastics and Podiatry just to name a few. The Ambulatory Surgery Center Nursing Director will work within the system’s Ambulatory Surgery Center and will lead all daily operations of the center while overseeing staff and upholding all policies and regulations. The Director of Nursing will also play a pivotal role in advancing nursing practice within the center and improving patient care outcomes. The ideal Director of Nursing candidate will have a strong nursing leadership, create new policies and or update existing policies to help improve the level of care for each patient, coordinating and controlling the multidisciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention. The Surgery Center Nursing Director will also be responsible for the interpretation, direction and evaluation of nursing practice to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care throughout the Center. The Nurse Director shall be a registered professional nurse and shall have at least three years of full-time, or full-time equivalent, experience in nursing supervision and/or nursing administration in a licensed health care facility.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in Excel
• Evaluates the environment where patient care activities take place and makes appropriate changes
• Experience in AAAHC Accreditation, NJDOH, OSHA and or regulatory compliance
• Holds individual employees accountable for assigned responsibilities, individual goals, and performance expectations through annual performance evaluations and conferences in collaboration with the Medical Director
• Physician credentialing, peer reviews
• Communicates effectively with all staff and ensures that all necessary information is disseminated
• Reduces chances of nosocomial infection by directing attention to infection control and environmental safety practices.
