Opening Summer 2024, Sunny’s is the highly anticipated restaurant and bar from the team behind Miami’s award-winning Jaguar Sun and Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse residency at Lot 6. Located in Littler River, Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse began as Jaguar Sun’s response to the pandemic and quickly became one of Miami’s hottest reservations. The residency scored a coveted “Best Restaurant in America” accolade from Bon Appetit and was named a Tales of the Cocktail “Spirited Award” Regional Honoree. Following two years of construction, the development of a substantial kitchen, and the addition of a roofed dining room, it is preparing to come back in its final form as Sunny’s. In addition to world class food and beverage, Sunny’s will deliver a nightly dinner party that needs to be felt to be believed.

The Sunny’s food menu will boast raw bar selections, wood-fired proteins, and steakhouse classics, alongside hand-made pastas and salads. On the beverage side, the Michelin and Tales of the Cocktail recognized team flexes across impeccably-made classics, house cocktails, a pick-your-path martini menu, and robust zero-proof drinks program alongside wines by the glass and craft beer. The design of Sunny’s is a modern interpretation of the white table-clothed steakhouse, with a light-filled 76-seat indoor dining space, private dining room, U-shaped dining bar, and expansive, 3,000 square-foot, Banyan-Tree-canopied patio with outdoor seating.

The Assistant General Manager is a vital piece to the relaunch of Sunny’s. This role will oversee the day-to-day operations and will be an active participant in developing the core systems need for success and growth. The Assistant General Manager will lead a team of front of house managers to ensure excellence across all aspects of the restaurant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but not limited to:

• Oversee daily operations and lead the team in providing memorable experiences for all guests
• Establish and uphold a team culture that promotes an exceptional working environment
• Mentor, train, and support the front of house management team by providing positive and constructive feedback, role clarity, and growth
• Consistently evaluate areas of opportunity within the business and supporting a culture of creativity and problem solving
• Build a foundation for success through developing SOPs, operational guidelines, and ensure that the business is set up for success
• Work with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure that all menus are current and in ample supply for service
• Ensure that the POS system is running efficiently and that all items are accurate
• Ensure that the website and all external sites have current information
• Execute a daily pre-service meeting to educate and motivate team members
• Engage in all guest feedback, positive and negative, to build a community of regulars and address any issues
• Actively engage in the growth of the private events program with the Communications Manager and General Manager
• Oversee various hourly scheduling and ensure that labor targets are being proactively managed
• Uphold meaningful partnerships with vendors
• Ensure compliance with HR, DOH, DOL, and building safety measures
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule per the needs of the business
