POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Service Representative is an integral part of Summit Logistics Group that is primarily responsible for assisting with customer inquiries as well as key data entry with all Summit Logistics loads within our TMS (Turvo). They ensure the load and customer information that is being provided to the Operations Manager and Logistics Coordinator is accurate for all load bookings. They will respond and answer all customer questions along with setting all pickup and delivery appointments. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure accurate and timely load data entry into our TMS operating system.
• Assist with customer inquiries as needed.
• Set all pick up and delivery appointments accurately
• Monitor SLG Customer Service email and assist with timely responses.
• Maintain relationships with carriers and customers as needed.
• Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues.
• Ensure all load data entry is accurate for Operations team.
• Excellent multitasking skills as well as operating knowledge of computer software programs.
• Update info as needed in customer portals
• Help with paperwork as requested by CSR manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 1 years’ experience specifically with domestic freight brokerage.
• 1 years of customer service experience
• Excellent skills for communicating and relating with both team members and customers.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
