Field Service Manager
Stille Surgical, Inc., an innovative leader in the surgical table and instrumentation segments of the healthcare industry, is looking for a full-time Field Service Manager to join our growing team. This will be a customer-facing role, requiring strong interpersonal skills coupled with technical problem resolution capabilities and hands on repair skills, with a focus on Stille’s electromechanical and hydraulic surgical tables. This position will require the Service Manager to perform on- site services at Stille’s customer locations in hospitals and outpatient surgery centers. Travel is estimated at 40% in the
US and Canada, including overnight stays. When not traveling to customer sites, this will be an office-based position in
Stille’s Lombard, Illinois facility. As Stille continues to grow and launch new products in 2024-2025, this position has strong upside career growth opportunities. The Field Service Manager will report to the U.S. Stille Surgical Director of
Service and Operations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Ability to utilize proven troubleshooting processes to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of electromechanical and hydraulic surgical tables
• Frequent travel onsite to Stille’s customers where direct engagement with the customer and repair of Stille products will be required
• Supporting the service call desk function, handling customer inquiries, problem diagnosis, and service and parts dispatch
• Strong representation of the company in a positive and professional manner during regular customer relationship management and interactions with end users of our products and our distributors and sales representatives
• Creation and updating of written documentation covering all interactions with Stille customers, including the service procedures and parts used during the repair of the Stille surgical tables
• Utilization of various computer programs including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite of products

Qualifications, education and experience:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent in electromechanical engineering or biomedical equipment o Significant experience in a similar role will be considered in lieu of education requirement
• Minimum 5-years’ experience as a Field Service Technician with previous experience servicing surgical tables and/or medical equipment a plus
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electro- mechanical systems
• Must have the ability to travel extensively to customer sites to perform repairs

Required skills and competencies:

• Effective communication skills and the ability to establish good customer relationships
• The ability to be self-motivated and to work independently, possessing good organizational, communication and time management skills
• Ability to be hands-on, using your technical skills and experience to work on the repair and upkeep of various surgical tables
• Strong documentation and record keeping skills, which will be important for all service calls and customer interactions.

• Ability to follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedures
• A team player and self-starter – someone willing to be a critical part of the Stille team
