State of Missouri is Hiring a Project Specialist (4850900) Near Jefferson, MO

Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.

The Section for Long-Term Care seeks to help protect the health and safety of elderly and disabled individuals residing in long term care facilities. This professional position serves as a member of the administration team, to assist with special projects evaluating for the Section's compliance with state and federal regulations. This position will qualify for remote work once training is complete.

  • Assist with the evaluation of the Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) process to identify inefficiencies in current process, streamline application review, research automation used by other states in conducting PASRR evaluations and prepare recommendations for the Section and Division.
  • Conduct PASRR application reviews as assigned.
  • Coordinate Civil Monetary Penalty application reviews, contract, and assist with reporting to CMS.
  • Assist with complaint and licensure/survey packet processing as assigned.
  • Assist with the evaluation of inspection and complaint investigation processes to determine inefficiencies in current process, streamline reviews, research automation used by other states in conducting inspections and prepare recommendations for the Region, Section, and Division.
  • Review statements of deficiency as assigned.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills with residents, providers, and the public is an essential component of this position.
  • Candidate must have passed Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test and have knowledge of the licensing, certification, and SLCR unit functions.
