Are looking for an executive-level human resource role? Missouri Veterans Commission has an opportunity at their headquarters office for a highly responsible, leadership position in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with extensive knowledge of human resource practices, policies, and management skills. The Human Resource Manager plans, directs, and administers the Human Resources department for Headquarters, Homes Program, Veterans Service Program, and Cemeteries Program. The Human Resource Manager serves as the primary staff advisor to the Missouri Veterans Commission on matters pertaining to workforce and human resources management and is responsible for human resources management of all MVC employees dispersed throughout the state.
The human resources department directs recruitment, placement, and retention efforts; ensures proper position classification and compensation; handles discipline, termination, labor and employee relations, disputes, and investigations; ensures compliance with equal employment opportunity; plans employee development and training; develops and administers policy and procedure; and oversees the administrative functions for the department.
Must demonstrate the following which may be obtained through extensive, professional-level human resource work experience:

5 years of relevant experience in human resources
