This is an advanced managerial food service role. The position is responsible and accountable for managing a large kitchen and dietary staff that serve a large client population. This position also leads, coach and mentor a large and diverse team of individuals. Leadership will have a tremendous impact on the success of the kitchen and ultimately have a lasting impact on the care and treatment of the clients we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee food preparation and service
• Conduct and maintain food inventories and supplies
• Complete requisitions for food items and supplies
• Maintain financial records and budget records for food service costs
• Provide performance assessments, coaching and progressive discipline
• Prepare and plan staffing assignments for daily operations
• Assist in making hiring recommendations

Eligibility:

• Associate degree and 2 years of supervisory experience (substitutions may be allowed)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, DMH diet Manual Guide
• Ability to prepare and maintain records of food usage and per capita costs
• ServSafe Certified or Food Handlers Certified
